Duplicitous heart, my basket fills with flowers~
Dashed hopes of love's ending ever so softly~
Crushed against a painful breast with showers~
Tears cascading upon cheeks kissed by sun moistly~
End not my love under summers lovely bowers~
A promise of forever broken and cools the sun~
Time is stilled by treacherous lips, hope towers~
Happiness snatched amidst turmoil, love undone~
A heart grasping for relief from unrelenting pain~
Finds comfort cycling betwixt sunlit shadow and light~
The colors will return with time, all shall be again~
As love was meant, and claim the sun, making right~
Summer's might and beauty uplifting spirits anew~
To greatest heights of heart's delight renewed~
