The world gone dark, history stilled,
A web of death sweeping us under,
The door to hope slowly closed,
A ruthless and titanic thunder.
The great sun dimmed in a haze,
An expanse of twilight deep and grey,
For all the joys of days gone past,
Remembered not with diminishing sway.
The shadows of night cast our lives out of balance,
But then from radiation a great ripening began;
Bringing forth fruits impossible to measure
Life everlasting without an eon’s span.
We embrace with despair life at the world's end so serious.
