Earth

Sand slips through fingers

a harvest of empty in

this incessant drought

Water

Sea swallows the land

the plastic tide on the crest

as ancient clans drown

Air

Blown pockets of gas

lungs burning and skin scorched dry

urban nomads flinch

Fire

Earth blistering fire

planetary reset as

she births a new age
