Empty

a silent grief

Rain drops keep falling,

mix with my own emotions.

Father died today.

Breaking my silence,

there is no voice, no sound.

I cried alone.

Father keeps breathing,

my fist pounding on his chest.

Breathe, Father, breathe NOW.

Blue and purple,

I saw color on his face.

Death, are you coming?

I lay motionless,

pain without all the sadness.

I mourn, wail, grieve.

Will you hold my hand?

There is no brother, no mother.

Will you still hold my hand tight?

I am alone, Father,

though I am in the crowd.

Is it you, Father?

Father has died today,

rain mixing with my emotions.

Father, I love you.
