Emotions

Raw

Pure & simple

Never hidden

From the world

A pout

A sniffle

The full blown tantrum

No inhibitions

Stomping down the hall

Screaming at the door

On the floor

Flailing legs

Voices raised

Teddy thrown

Across the room

*****

Jaw clenched

Must control

My emotions

Keep them hidden

No one must see

The steam

Raging inside of me

The words I learned

Never to repeat

When my emotions

Overwhelm me

I smile

Nod

Pretend I’m ok

But I’m flailing

Inside

****
