Embracing Change
Finding Freedom in the Wake of Unhappiness
Divorce isn't a tragedy, they say,
But staying in despair day by day,
Teaching children the wrong about love,
That's the sorrow we're wary of.
To linger in a loveless embrace,
Is to deny the heart its rightful place.
For love should be a beacon bright,
Not a shadow that dims the light.
Nobody ever died of divorce, it's true,
But a broken spirit, what does it do?
To live a life devoid of joy,
Is to lose oneself, to self-destroy.
So let us not mourn the end of a union,
But celebrate the hope of a new communion.
For in the ashes of a broken bond,
New beginnings, new love can respond.
