Embrace the Eternal Void

Abecedarian

ah

breathe

calm descends

distill the day

empty the jaw of stress

find the happy in small moments of pristine peace

gaze upwards to the night sky as darkness falls

hold the moment in your mind's eye

inhale and exhale calmly and slowly, filling your lungs

just...be

keep still, stay calm...breathe

life will still be there...waiting for you...when you return

moments like this are worth savoring...worth indulging in

night skies are for the humble dreamers, not for the ignorant

open your mind and embrace the eternal void of possibility

planets, stars, and the very gases and minerals that form us...breathe

quietly contemplate your place in it all, so small, yet so impactful

remember that when you return to your life...remember your worth...

savour the moments like this and share them with those dearest to you

trivial nonsense can wait...that report can wait...that sales call...can...wait

unburden yourself of your worries and anxieties...breathe

view your life for what it's really worth - not the money and material gain

worth more than salaries, punching your card, dotting the I's, and crossing the T's

xanthic rays of tomorrow are not something to fear

you deserve these moments, these sacred, precious moments

zealously seek them out...breathe

Ooh, wonderful wonderful! I echo everything Kristen and Kayleigh said. Your soothing poetry is some of the best out there. I love how you open with "ah" as though exhaling into this one. It really immersed me.

  • I absolutely adore when you give voice to this gentle soul of yours… these words feels like a light breeze on a hot summer evening… balmy and gentle and exactly what is needed… Well done Paul 🤍✨

Wow, the poem came quite in the right time for me.

  • This would work well as a guided meditation. Have you thought about recording it that we might experience it that way?

He, He I love the similarities of our Zealfuness in the pieces we wrote for this Challenge! :-) Some of us on here, truly are just unstoppable in what we so love to do! :D It is so true, I wrote it as well, that no matter how demanding or drilling or distracting life can be, we must slow down and smell the roses, so we don't just let all of those charishable good moments just pass us by!

Very calming, Paul. I like your use of ellipses like breaths. I often like to look at the night sky and savour the enormity of it all. Gives perspective, I think.
