A journey to destroy greed

In shadows deep, where greed does dwell,
Its claws dig deep, its whispers swell.
A craving beast, consuming all,
Leaves naught but ruin, a bitter thrall.
Its hunger knows no bounds or ends,
Devouring foes, devouring friends.
In its grasp, hearts turn to stone,
And kindness withers, left alone.
But courage rises, a flickering flame,
To battle greed, to reclaim its name.
With hearts united, and spirits bold,
The chains of greed begin to fold.
In the light of love and empathy's grace,
Greed's dark fortress starts to erase.
For in unity, strength is found,
And in compassion, greed is bound.
So let us stand, both brave and true,
To vanquish greed, in all we do.
For in its demise, we find our worth,
A world renewed, a kinder earth.

Beautiful!
Way to go especially on the last verse. Great idea to put that in bold type.
Greed is so easy to come by but with training, we have learned to stand against it. Nicely written!
Great words bro♡
Yep, money causes all sorts of issues - if only it would just be used for good!! Thanks for sharing this great poem!
Greed is one of humanity’s greatest burdens. You really exemplify its evil here, as well as our own capabilities to do better and BE better. Great poem!
