Elvis had a pair of shoes,

That was special, oh so fine,

He called them his blue suede shoes,

And they were his pride and shine.

But one day at a concert show,

A fan got too close and clumsy,

And stepped right on his toes,

Making Elvis feel quite grumpy.

He let out a mighty yell,

“Don’t you step on my blue suede shoes!”,

And everyone could surely tell,

That he was really singing the blues.

From that day on, Elvis vowed,

To protect his precious kicks,

He’d scowl at anyone who crowds,

And give them a good old kick.

But we can’t blame him, really,

For he loved those shoes so much,

And whenever they got dirty,

He’d clean them with a gentle touch.

So let’s give Elvis some space,

And watch our every step,

Lest we step on his blue suede grace,

And make the King upset.
