In the dark, we’re born
From dust to dust we return
So that life can grow
.
Pressure in the chest
It stirs embers of anger
And tears down the trees
.
The salt on our lips
Dark and grey it drowns the past
But does not quench us
.
Flint striking iron
Raze the pathway behind us
Only then, we heal
