In gardens graced by dappled light,
A velvet queen in morning's blush,
Her petals were soft, a fragrant hush,
Unfurls to kiss the day so bright.
With beauty fragile, fleeting, rare,
She drinks the dew of dawn's embrace,
Each petal's sigh, a gentle grace,
Her essence floats on summer air.
Yet time, relentless, softly creeps,
And shadows lengthen, day grows old,
Her crimson fades to burnished gold,
As evening's whisper gently weeps.
Oh rose, your brief and wistful stay,
A fleeting dance upon life's stage,
In memory, your bloom we gauge,
Eternal in the dusk's soft ray.
