as the so called legend goes
from the shadows el cucuy rose
at bedtime each mother would say
for bad children el Cucuy will take you away
but as the day draws along
bad actions being shown like nothing is wrong
day slowly draws to night
happy laughter slipping into fright
going to be d to get tucked in
in the shadows he waits to begin
sounds coming from the closet or bed?
gears turn the fright in my head
from the closet he creeps on out
I've been good.... they scream and shout
hooded creature, teeth ground down
creeping around with out a sound
dragged out of bed all rough too
el Cucuy will devour you
