The truth is quite not as easy and people make it out to be
Sometimes I get eaten up that I have to throw it up into the sea
Sometimes I take decisions out of pure protection
The aftermath ruins shows there was a war and maybe some action
So let me tell you a story for as long as this ink can last
About a man who has a war waging in his heart, in forms like Rhaast
His heart burned for her, her presence was gyromagnetic
Her home, an obbsession of his, let's say she was cairo-essentric
But some stories aren't meant to last, some authors would agree
He saw something that was wrong, like a brawl in a dark alley
A familiar road that made his nerve misfire, nerve racking
So he closed the pages, it became a book without writings
The pill he had to swallow wasn't bitter, it was Acetonitrile
Atlantis in how he prefers to build his house in the nile
How could he tell her the reason he quenched the fire wasn't age?
But because they had the same visitor taking centre stage
He understood her, that was the foundation that started the house
Till carnality stepped in, grabbed a blanket and occupied the couch
One hand on the bible asking for wisdom needed for that day
One hand caressing the eagle as it searches for its prey
A familiar pit he knows he has dug before and spent energy leaping out of
An emotion that grew fig roots thick enough to make the earth its anchor
A seed he knows too well, so it was easy to predict the outcome
No need to curse it , drought handled it before the worse ill come
I know he made it look easy, like he took the easier route
He looks like the villain but for this road he had to become Thoth
He does still watch over you , in the little ways that he can
He just didn't want to drag you into a horror flick, in the midst of the sands
So reader, the story could have ended like Kate and Anthony Brigerton
But our screen writer knew there was something more important than fun
Especially when both characters have an itch they can't wait to scratch
The itchier the itch, the larger the scar
