Every now and then, a dark moon rises: looming over your head,
Casting a dark blue light onto the room, and onto the silhouette of you.
Luring my gaze, I settle into the whites of your eyes; as it waxes and wanes.
In time, the light of the room returns, and I remember just where we are.
Perpetually bound, it falls and rises, leading my mind with a string.
Strung 'round your little finger, I am wound tighter and tighter,
Each touch of horizon.
