eclipse—
i've been carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders for 20 years now
you'd think i would be strong enough to handle it
but the world is getting heavier
and so is my heart
my body feels heavy
have my bones turned to brick?
the weight of the world isn't on my shoulders anymore
it's in my blood
my bones
i can't escape it
i'm supposed to be a beacon of light -
a moonbeam
reflecting the love and light of others
but
the weight of the world
is obscuring my luminosity,
creating an eclipse
i am light
around the edges
but inside
it's dark
