Memories of the past, now just a trace,
Fading away with each passing day,
Nostalgia grips me, a tight embrace,
Of memories that won't go away.
//
Childhood memories, pure and bright,
Of laughter, love and endless play,
Of childhood dreams, of pure delight,
Of a time that slipped away.
//
Remembering friends, so dear and true,
From days gone by, that we hold so dear,
With laughter, love, and memories too,
That are always close, we hold them near.
//
The memories linger, of a place,
Of special times, we'll always see,
With laughter, love, and a smiling face,
That keep the memories alive in me.
//
So I hold dear to my nostalgia,
For it's the memories that give me peace,
For a life that was once full of joy and bliss,
And the memories that I'll never release.
