In the depths of the forest, amidst the trees so tall,
I found my voice, my rhythm, my call.
The leaves rustled and the birds sang,
Nature's orchestra, my heart rang.
*
I raised my voice, in a slam poetry bout,
Words flowed like a river, there was no doubt.
My words painted a picture of the world outside,
The beauty of nature, so vast and wide.
*
I spoke of the sun, the moon, the stars,
The mountains, the rivers, and the seas afar.
I spoke of the creatures that roam this land,
The lion, the eagle, the tiny grains of sand.
*
My words echoed through the forest,
As if nature herself was impressed.
The trees swayed, the wind danced,
My heart filled with a newfound romance.
*
For in nature, I found my muse,
A beauty that cannot be diffused.
In slam poetry, I found my voice,
A powerful tool to make my soul rejoice.
