Echoes of Bethlehem

A Poetic Journey Through the Humble Birth of Christ

In Nazareth's embrace, two thousand years ago,

A tale unfolds in whispers, of Mary and her beau.

In a modest dwelling, a young girl named Mary,

A promise unspoken, to Joseph she would marry.

An angel, Gabriel, with a message so divine,

Spoke of God's favor, a son, a light would shine.

Obedient and humble, Mary's heart did sway,

"I am the handmaid of the Lord," she would say.

To Bethlehem's journey, a decree did impel,

Taxes to pay, a census to foretell.

Sixty-five miles they trod, through nights and days,

A pilgrimage of hope, in a humble daze.

In Bethlehem's abode, all inns full to the brim,

Joseph's knocks echoed, in vain seeking a whim.

Desperation crept, uncertainty's plea,

Yet Mary, trusting, believed in what would be.

No regal halls awaited, no opulence in sight,

A stable, a refuge, beneath the star's soft light.

In the quiet manger, 'neath the sky so wide,

The Son of God arrived, in humility did bide.

A makeshift cradle, with fresh hay lined,

Baby Jesus slept, in peace enshrined.

Shepherds, under night's watch, heard an angel's call,

A Savior born, the message did enthrall.

Excitement danced, curiosity did rise,

To the stable they rushed, beneath the starlit skies.

In the humble stable, joyous wonder did unfurl,

As they beheld the Savior, the Light of the World.

In the quiet of the stable, 'midst the humblest of scenes,

The Son of God emerged, breaking earthly routines.

A story of simplicity, in a manger so small,

A tale of love and hope, embracing one and all.
