Early Mornings

A Poem

Seeing the bright sunlight pouring in through the window and lighting up the cream-colored walls.

Hearing the birds sing their songs and the wooden wind chimes sway in the breeze.

Feeling the soft sheets and blankets cocooning you into their warmth as you wake from a deep slumber.

Smelling the coffee brewing in and the bacon cooking in the cast iron pan from upstairs.

Tasting the first sip of water as it quenches the parched desert of your mouth and throat.
