a moment in time predetermined

Captured in Dallas, Texas on 10/14/23 by myself through special sunshades

Easily without much thought we gaze into the pain, intentionally, we succumb to the mysticism & allure to a more or less routine moment in astrological time.

Carelessly throwing cautions candidly away.

Likened to the way we threw us away, in a moment of time that felt overwhelmingly life changing, stigmatized by passions, passerbyers judgmental eyes & misperceived larger than life feelings.

In a blaze of broken rage; the kind that is birthed from spirits having been through a trial so full of tribulation that one begins to associate pleasure with pain & self love as second to sacrifice... until our reality became-

PUNCTURED. Perforated, plainly pulverized... just a hollow frame without a painting to proudly exhibit.

Silence & Stillness came next, with an overbearing near tangible feeling of confusion, thick in the way humidity can be, invisible around you but it's effects drip down your skin evoking the toxins to flush from your form.

Evocative now- the whole event is, a moment in time predetermined, aligned in the stars where the world goes dark for a few moments where darkness usually never invades & then back into the light somehow different, somehow something removed, almost like it was meant to be- revealing in the same way that we weren't.

I love the last line. Darkness, and back to light again. Beautiful comparison.

  • The last line said so much evocative visceral work. Throughly enjoyed it

  • Again lots of great words, excellent work

This is really well done. I especially like this line "a hollow frame without a painting to proudly exhibit." Great job..

Oh this is very thought-provokig, Hayley, remarkable work really. Loved the long lines that really distract from the acrostic side of things, but how it so well wrapped around the theme. that PUNCTURED line is a real highlight..but I also really love how the second line in all its importance is left quite simple and separate. Brilliant.

  • "PUNCTURED. Perforated, plainly pulverized... just a hollow frame without a painting to proudly exhibit." That was my favourite part! Gosh your Acrostic was so intense and extremely profound! I loved it!
