Duplicate Gods

Hearts behind the screen

By Rohitha LankaPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Duplicate gods

Every time there is sorrow

You came in different disguises

You came before

Likewise today

The world is cruel

Even more so

But today

The air conditioner is not heating

The AC in the room is turned on

As long as there is no sorrow

The sound of the setup is louder

The fruits in the fruit bowls

Because they cannot get down to the ground

The hearts that pay monthly salaries

With the offerings in the mailbox

The hearts of duplicate gods

Come down to the human world

Green hearts

Closed by a black screen
