Drunk

Again

By Ashley LockPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

I found peace in his drunken slur,

That holding me would be his cure,

His sadness present on his hips,

Breathing heavy, lips to lips.

If only he felt this way sober,

But honesty would not bring closure,

He only cared when he was lonely,

Wanting him to want, me only.

And I know when a new day arise,

I was just a body for him to utilize,

His drunkenness I was addicted,

Then morning came & as predicted.

He disappeared with little trace,

Until drunk to fill the empty space.

And I know you don’t really care,

But would it really be a big dare,

To learn the things within my heart,

not just spend time ripping it apart.

So when you’re drunk and call me up,

Know I’m more then just a hookup.

And if you’re lost and scared,

Know I’ll always be right there.
