Head above water,

is all I can ask for...

Reaching out for help,

with no answer...

Life isn’t as simple

as they made it seem.

To grow up

and be what you want to be.

When you start at the bottom,

you must swim for your life.

These storms refuse to cease,

and water continues to rise.

A snag here,

and another one there.

Engulfed by these waves...

til there is only black.

Looking up for help

in a darkened sea..

Where has the light gone?

I grabble to hold on...
