Drowning in Despair

Everything I can't say.

Why do we stay quiet about the things we think about the most?

Drowning in my thoughts,

Drowning in despair.

I wish to be left alone while also wishing someone was there.

Someone that will help me, find me, someone that will save me from myself.

No matter how hard I try to shake the words, the voices, the dread.

They continue to push me down.

Into the water.

Drowning me in my thoughts,

Drowning me in despair.

Life has never been fair.

Life has truly never been there.

I'm alive, but I'm barely here.

Barely breathing, but barely, do I care.

Sometimes I want to be left alone, drowning in my thoughts.

Drowning in the despair.

I'm alive but I am barely here.
