Drowned In Moonlight

Full Moon Reflected in the Lake

Drowned in moonlight

Appearing to grow amid the deep navy and the dark indigo

Powerfully retaining the recently departed

Surging upwards and outwards

Huge blushed sphere

luminosity tickling the ocean

Drenching skin transferring absurd strength

Supervising through the dimness and observing in silence

Obscured momentarily by droplets of water

Pink is interlaced with purple

Continuously rising

Signifying a direction to follow

Drawing towards the dusky line of the horizon

Shores are long left behind as the darkness settles down

Rhythmic movement implemented with the oars

Land no longer comprehendible

Pink surrenders

Untainted bleached Light gleams

Glistening tracks demand ritualistic following

Waves intensify exaggerating the movement of the vessel

Distantly scanning for faint outlines of earth

Aborted by a cascade into the sea

Gasping for air

Coldness descends deep into lungs

Witnessing through hazy vision a final glimpse

Bright white full and round filling eyes as they slowly drown
