Drinking Tonight

The answer and question

By Sender Jeannestal Published 2 years ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read

I didn’t want my fair to play winner

Although my loss is something I can afford

I didn’t want my care to play sinner

Although my prayer keeps him distant

I thought to myself “It’s unhealthy”

so is losing a job

What medicine can I take to heal my poverty

I looked into your eyes to see if I can find my soul

But I all I could find was darkness

I thought to myself “this is unhealthy”

so is losing your significant to another

What medicine can I take to heal my broken heart

I didn’t want my excuse to be my solution

Although my answer could care less

I didn’t want my pass to haunt my future

Although my choice has neither

I thought to myself I’m drinking tonight
