Spirit week brings
a day of dressing up
as places you'll go
one day...
hopefully...
and I pray you do.
She dons a beret
and draws on
a small
swirly
mustache
just under her freckled nose.
Her childlike version
of Paris
smiles back at her
from the mirror.
The piece de resistance
a baguette,
carried in hand,
as she utters,
with graveled voice,
the only word she knows
in French,
Bonjour!
