Dreams of Peace

In Need of Peace

By Emily WaddlingPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

I heard a broadcast just this morning

That gave my heart a pull

That a toast of peace was drank

And the golden cup full.

I sat there and listened

With wonderment and awe

I ran in turned the TV on

And this is what I saw.

Hunger in the world no longer exists

And wars they no more

All the nuclear power had been destroyed

And peace was now in store.

I sat there and listened

With a joyful heart did scream

Then suddenly I awoke

From my precious dream.
