Standing outside looking up at the stars above
All is still, a quiet peace surrounds us
Among the darkness, there is a light that lets us know
Everything will be ok
We stand still, breathing in the warm breeze that pass by
Through the chaos that often clouds our minds
Lay the calmness that speak the truth
Each star symbolizing the hope and dreams that lay beneath
Of carefree days of simpler times
And the dreams of what tomorrow holds
Standing silently eyes closed tightly, taking each moment in
Sometimes wanting to scream out
As heavy thoughts fill my head
Setting them free as a beautiful butterfly breaking from its cocoon
The hope and promise in the stars
The promise of a bright tomorrow
