Dreams

A Poem

Remember....

Remember....

Remember....

Remember....

Memories....

Flooding my head,

lying on my bed,

I can't...

can't stop....

There's nothing I can do,

to stop thinking about you.

All these dreams I had of us,

now are ashes, turned to dust,

by the passage of time,

I'm losing my mind!

I wish you could see me now,

though how you'd get here, I don't know how.

All I know is I miss you so,

I don't want to let go....

Of these dreams that I have,

of us, someday, and what we could have,

all we could be,

you and me.

I know the reason you're missing

is that you're out there chasing

those other dreams of yours

but that doesn't keep me from hoping

that one day...

I dream of seeing your face,

I dream of hearing your voice,

I dream of feeling your arms around me....

All these dreams sleep deep within my heart,

someday I hope to let them out through art,

to let them take wing and fly to you,

in the hope that someday my dreams will come true.
