Dreamer

A Poem

By Ladarius BrownPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Poverty stricken, but all I have is the future in my eyes.

To never watch my mother struggle, to wipe the tears from her eyes when she cries.

Not a dime to my name, but I'll be there some day.

I have a dream worth chasing, it'll be hard always.

No time for love, but I wish it would come.

No time for stress, otherwise I'm done.

I have a chance to see my words printed, what a wonderful dream.

Putting my life on stage, a life changing moment so it seems.

I'm simply a dreamer, with only hope and faith.

I'm a broken man looking for redemption, with a dream that can never break.
