Dream Journal

A Blue Dog

Dream Journal: A Blue Dog

It is midnight.

Everything seems to merge,

Let me fall asleep like everyone else.

I do not recall what happened yesterday.

Yesterday lost colours of today.

When sleeplessness takes over life,

My thoughts become alive.

My brain is deluded, becomes something more,

It adopts the role of a faithful companion bore.

Golden dream journal locket unties.

I’m ready to dive.

First Interruption.

It is 2:00 am. I am still awake.

My body is already exhausted

I want to get up but my skin is frosted.

Suddenly, I think, I see a reef blue ink

Diffusing all over the air

But I know where I am.

I can see my own bed,

My favourite forget-me-not blue pillowcases,

Which means I am awake.

I can hear my partner’s deep breath

But I am not able to speak,

The sapphire blue ink surrounds me

I surrender myself.

It is slowly streaming into my ears.

Second Interruption.

I am under ice green water

but I can still see my room.

There is a small ivory paper spoon,

In fact, thousands of paper spoons.

The scale of each spoon is so vast

I can comfortably recline on it at last.

It is a soft type of paper which seems somehow pleasant

I could stay here forever, be present.

This feeling usually foreshadows suspense.

The spoons swinging too fast

The walls in my bedroom fold into origami swans.

Their fragile bodies are like scarlet red roses.

I am running so slowly, in fact, I cannot run at all

I am fixing my eyes in the direction of the howl.

Third Interruption.

Finally I see a blue dog.

It is a muscular animal crossed with a caterpillar.

There is something about him that makes me happy.

Perhaps it is the fact that he is smiling.

The thousand shades of blue skin are shining

Like reflection of fish scale

Deeply underwater catching last sunrays.

Every true colour that there is

Is a camouflage of his kin.

He is the most precious thing I ever had.

I am still in my bed, I feel pride.

Fourth Interruption.

Sleeping silence at last.
