Draw a monster.
A hideous face covered in wrinkles,
Milky eyes that see into the soul,
Haggard teeth that hang loose in a perpetual grin.
Draw a monster.
Harsh words and harsher actions,
Evidence littering frail bodies,
Concealed under threats of torture.
Draw a monster.
The unassuming man in the corner,
With crow’s feet around his eyes
And a smile that contrasts his heart.
Draw a monster.
Teeth as sharp as knives,
A pale form that grows and grows,
Creating shadows within itself.
Draw a monster.
Beauty beyond compare,
As sweet as a summer breeze,
False compassion hiding the horror within.
Draw a monster.
Hidden in the most sacred places,
Faith can’t save the sinner
And darkness creeps closer than ever before.
Draw a monster.
Rotten flesh dripping from limbs,
A brainless, soulless mass of hatred,
A thing the worst pain cannot stop.
Draw a monster.
Why is it a monster?
