Dragon's Dream

V3

In a land of shifting shapes and forms,

Where the sky is a canvas of swirling storms,

There lived a dragon, a creature of dream,

Whose flames danced and flowed like a flowing stream.

He lived in a cave that appeared and vanished,

A doorway to other worlds, ever embellished,

For the dragon guarded the secrets of time,

And woe to those who dared to cross the line.

But one day, a young man stumbled upon the door,

Bold and curious, he asked for more,

He wanted to know the mysteries of the flame,

To unravel the dragon's intricate name.

The dragon was intrigued by the man's desire,

He had never met one who lit his fire,

So he agreed to share his secrets with care,

And thus began a journey beyond compare.

The man learned the ways of the dragon's flame,

He learned to fly and to never tame,

And when he left, he vowed to return,

To explore more and forever yearn.

But alas, the man never came back,

The dragon waited, on track,

For he knew that their bond was strong,

And he missed the man all along.

And so the dragon sits in his cave,

Waiting for his friend, his heart ablaze,

Hoping that one day he'll return,

To a land of dreams that forever burn.
