Down the Rabbit Hole

I'll tell you a story of a girl that I know -

She tired of life and wanted to go;

Into a world, a most magical place,

Little did she know she'd get there post-haste.

She was sitting in a tree watching birds fly;

When a rabbit in a waistcoat ran right by.

She followed him to a hole in a tree;

Alice then got down onto her knees.

She called out in hopes that he would soon answer,

But the ground below gave way beneath her.

She felt herself tumbling down.

There was nothing she could do to turn back around.

~Shock~Drop~Flop~

She finally came to a stop;

And found herself in such a strange place -

She talked to a doorknob and he had a face.

Wandering about in the bizarre new land,

She gathered some mushrooms into her hand;

And eating them found that she grew quite tall -

She worried that she would never be small.

Alice met all sorts of curious creatures

Who had all kinds of unusual features;

A Cat, a Queen, a Caterpillar, and Hatter -

But quickly she realized she had enough of their chatter.

The girl desperately wanted to go home,

Back to the world she called her own.

And just like that she heard her name being called...

It must have been a dream after all.
