double meaning words

In the twilight's glow, secrets unfold,

A tale of words, both new and old.

Like whispers of wind, they twist and turn,

Double meanings, in language they churn.

***

Hearts can race, not just in love's embrace,

But in a marathon's challenging race.

Stars may shine, not just in the sky,

But in dreams, aspirations soar high.

***

Time may fly, like birds on the wing,

But it also heals, each sorrow it'll bring.

A wave can crash, upon the shore,

Or a friendly hello, at someone's door.

***

Double meanings, a linguistic delight,

Unveiling depths, in words takes flight.
