read while the steak marinates

Bib & Tucker Bourbon

your recipes don't show up in my google searches

but I find them because I love you

when you tell me what to do

*

squeeze the lemon, fresh juice

dice the onion, smaller pieces

it's too hot to touch

*

wondering what men want

is not what you need when we

don't need anything together

*

for fall we will drink bourbon

the barbecue doesn't ignite

I forgot my green bowl of cucumber

*

sitting together on the couch, looking

the lilt of your speech, revealing what

you've not been able to say to me

*

we find a way anyway & I watch the sunset

without you my sister asked what type of angel

you are I say you are my head angel we are friends.
