I only keep you around because I need you

You let take advantage of you and say yes even when you don’t want too but I can use you as a punching bag,

A scapegoat,

Anything that I want and when you try to leave;

I’ll force you to believe that everything is your fault

Mixing up your thoughts and the oppression in your head

But,

Don’t take it personal

When I say something that I know offends you or bring up a situation that you’re not quite over yet,

I need the attention to be solely on me so everyone can see how great I am

So,

Excuse me if I,

Lash out at you and tell you that it’s all your fault that you missed my birthday to mourn the fifth anniversary of your mom’s death

Or that you had to work and couldn’t listen to me rant about ow my S/O left me even though I didn’t love them anyway and used them for my own personal gain

Yes I was wrong,

But,

Don’t take it personal

My narcissistic traits,

My borderline, antisocial traits

It’s who I am and I won’t change

Nobody is better than me

I don’t mess up and if I don’t,

It’s your fault, it’s their fault

No matter what I do, it’s never my fault

I don’t care about you but I care about what you do for me

The way you make me feel

You’re smarter than me,

You have the better life,

The better friends and if I’m around,

I’ll ruin that

I’ll make your life a living hell simply because you refuse to say no because of your “save a soul” attitude and your heart that beats to five different drums

I’m sure intimidated by you, your friends and everyone around and this isn’t about the one who wrote this
