Don't Let Fear Be Your Puppeteer

A Written Word Using the Personification of Fear as a Puppeteer

Don't let fear be your puppeteer

Cut the strings that control you-

The ones that make you dance

These ropes have restricted you for too long-

Holding you back from living

They have chafed your hands and feet-

Leaving scars that have cut deeper than the surface of your flesh

Fear has controlled your every move

He sits high above the stage,

Handling the crossbar with great ease-

Showing the audience he's been maneuvering it for some time

But even when the curtains close,

The show is not over;

He still remains in control

It is time to cut the strings-

Time to break free from your bondage

You will never go beyond the curtains if you remain a puppet

There is no need for a puppeteer-

If there is no puppet

Make your choice

Don't let fear be your puppeteer
