***

If tomorrow starts without me,

do not hold vigil at my bedside

beyond the point the candle's burned out.

Do not hold the hand of grief forever

allowing it to be fused to your soul.

Do not wear veils and black

until you can no longer see color.

***

If tomorrow starts without me,

please live it.
