Don't Flatter Yourself
A Short Poem Inspired by My Cat
Cats are obedient
They love you
They play with you
They run after you
But they bite you
If you cross the line,
if you threaten,
if you pick on them,
they bite you
Just like I bite the thing,
the man,
the woman,
the whoever that made me
At least,
I think so
So, if you think it likes you
Don't flatter yourself
It will bite you
If you mistakenly,
get confident
It will take you to town
Around and about
In your mind,
A burning thought
Of a creature
Teaching a lesson
A simply cat behavior
Can be very disturbing
So, don't flatter yourself
Cats in a hat
Or simply in your head
Can be a cat to make you
Flatter all over
And over again
Don't flatter yourself
It will bite you
Just like I bite
The system
The game
The rule
The master
Until I am
The Blaster
Oh, don't flatter
