Don't Be Led

Poem

By Sarah MicetichPublished 8 years ago • 1 min read

Through strangled eyes and sightless throat

Round garbled scent and voices broke

On sounds of touch and feeling words

To making peace with flightless birds

Take to the ground, set them to cage

Hide your feet and mourn the brave

Remember not the joy you felt

But rather, cling to 'Rion's Belt

Place your will beside the stars

And don't forget just who you are

In a senseless, violent, worthless world

Where people fade to brightened swirls

When things 'round you turn on their heads

Take control and don't be led.
