Domestic Red

It Can Happen to Anyone

I saw vicious red, not with my eyes

It coursed through my head

Felt as if my brain would explode --- Overload

It began with the words bitch and whore

I laid crumpled on the floor

As red raged through my head

Days dragged, blow by blow

Languish, so painfully slow

Bones broke, eardrums burst

Still hadn’t encountered the worst

As red raged through my head

It was the love spat back in my face

The hope dying with each false embrace

Facing what could never be

That tore the heart right out of me

Now red will rage eternally

About the Creator

rita lynn

I am in some ways found, but mostly lost. People perplex me, but animals very simply give me happiness. I keep hoping for a better world in which people treat each other kinder. And it upsets me that it's not happening.
