Hey, Brenton,

Can you get me the directions to "anywhere, but here"

I've been lost with misdirection

for almost 6 whole years

I cannot follow your example

cause, my eyes are full of tears

Can you send me better guidance

to help get me up, out of here?

The twisted words are glitter

they entice me to hold on

Then leave me feeling bitter

I want to pass on this baton

The race is getting longer

and my legs are wearing out

Just when I think I'm getting stronger

I feel my lungs are filled with doubt

So, if you know the place, I'm looking for

kindly send an SOS?

Cause I'm stuck here on the floor

repeating retrogress

surreal poetry
