High-energy people learn to calmly set boundaries.

It's not coldness; it's self-preservation.

Many people think that high energy means always being positive and constantly cheerful.

But I later discovered that the higher a person's energy level, the more they know when to close the door, when not to respond, and when to remain calm.

I used to be the kind of person who was afraid of being misunderstood and afraid of not being friendly enough. Until one day, I realized I was almost completely drained. I began to wonder if I simply lacked the ability to protect myself.

People with boundaries may seem aloof (or distant). But that's not a sense of distance; it's a choice. A choice not to waste themselves, nor to excessively bear the burden of others' emotions.

They can remain quiet, not rush to express their opinions, not get dragged into conflicts, and don't need to constantly prove their goodwill.
