Do You Dream of Me?

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

[Verse]

You have a heart of gold

I heard it once said

But gold doesn’t shine bright

when it’s been cut and bled

Baby, I want to kneel

in your blood and Pain

I want to pan for that gold

coursing through your veins

[Chorus]

Oh your blood runs hot and deep

beneath the surface no one can see

Kneeling low, I forage the stream

Searching for a shadow of

Your fleeting dreams

Hoping I'll find a dream of me

Hoping I'll find a dream of me

Baby, Do you dream of me

[Verse 2]

My Fingers sift through the silt and grime

Hoping to find the way to make you mine

Every pulse is a thunderous sound

But dreams are lost if they can’t be found

[[Chorus]

Oh your blood runs hot and deep

beneath the surface no one can see

Kneeling low, I forage the stream

Searching for a shadow of

Your fleeting dreams

Hoping I'll find a dream of me

Hoping I'll find a dream of me

Baby, Do you dream of me

Baby do you dream of me
