The wolf’s mantra
I hear for miles.
It sounds at night,
when they are away from their tribe.
The howling you hear
is a sign of their quest
for friendship and feast.
Do they meditate
in the secluded, lonely forest,
under the shining moonlight,
repeating the howl as a mantra
to bring them calm, peace, and happiness?
They might be sad,
they might feel fear,
they might be lost
in the winter frost,
but don’t get this wrong;
their mantra will sound for the eons to come.
