Do Not Feed Despair

A Verse to Remember When Despair Is Desperate For More

Despair is searching for a giant chunk of joy to feed from.

Do not be naive. Despair may also want to nibble a little joy for now and save some for later.

To be fair, despair must be acknowledged. Despair cannot be ignored or it will gradually consume you.

Make a deal with despair: Despair will always be acknowledged, but it can never stick around.

Better yet, your armor is so strong that you forget what despair feels like

You have wiped your mirrors clean but still you have forgotten what despair looks like.

You forget to even check in with despair because joy has been in your spirit for so long.

You have simply changed your name to Joy

Joyous would be more appropriate.

Joyous is how I feel and who I identify to be
