DISTRACTION

Daylight beckons as the night fades

In silence my humble resolve I reconsidered

Staring down the now briskly lit lawn

Trees dance to the fine tone of the gentle morning breeze.

Running through my mind were thoughts of things I hoped to achieve

Alas! It was a new day

Can I achieve all I have planned for the new day? I asked myself.

Trudging through my stuffy patch eyes barely opened

I slipped out of bed into the dawn of day.

Out of nowhere I found hope to start the new day with hope

New day, new beginning. Redemption is here!
