Diving into thoughts of a happy summer haze,
In an unhappy classroom too quiet and bored.
Sudden liberating thoughts of freedom and space
Times with old friends full of victories scored.
/
Reality fades as my tired mind starts to drift,
And light wispy clouds come to carry me away,
Cutting through the dullness of school with a gift;
They whisper of summer and of license to play.
/
Invitations and fireworks, and games to win,
Only a couple weeks time until summer is here.
Now if only school would end, the fun could begin.
